2. Per lobby: quantity and price
Prices are rough starting points for Bangalore shops in 2026. Change them to the quotes you actually get; set quantity to 0 for anything you skip.
| Item | Qty per lobby | Price each (₹) | Line (₹) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rangoli colours (1 kg mixed set) | |||
| Rangoli stencils / border set | |||
| Warm string lights (10 m, plug-in) | |||
| LED diyas (battery) | |||
| Clay diyas + oil + wicks (entrance only) | |||
| Marigold garlands / toran | |||
| Extension board / tape / hooks | |||
| Other (lanterns, flowers, tea for volunteers) |

How committees usually use this
- Get one quote each for lights and rangoli colours from a nearby shop, put those prices in, and post the per-flat figure before asking for money. Fewer arguments later.
- Keep the receipts in one photo album in the group. It answers "where did the money go" before anyone asks.
- Lights and LED diyas can be reused next year, so some associations buy them from the maintenance fund and collect only for consumables.
- Open flames inside the lobby: check your house rules first. See LED vs oil diyas.
